New H-1B Fee Proposal Is Moving Forward 新的 H-1B 收费提案正在推进

DHS has advanced a new proposed rule called “Fee for Certain H-1B Petitions.” White House review was completed on August 19, 2026.

The rule could create a new fee for certain H-1B petitions and increase costs for employers.

But the actual proposal has not been published yet, so we still do not know the fee amount, which cases would be covered, or whether there will be exemptions.

This rule-making process is basically:

• White House review → Proposed rule published → Public comments → Final rule → Effective date

So, there is no new H-1B fee in effect right now.

We need to wait for the proposed rule to be published before we know the details.
