New OPT Fee Proposal Is Moving Forward 新的 OPT 收费提案正在推进

About a month ago, the Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration was considering a $100,000 fee for OPT.

Now, the proposal has officially been sent to the White House for review.

The title is pretty straightforward: “Optional Practical Training Fees.”

Just like the H-1B fee proposal we saw earlier this week, the actual text has not been released yet, so we still do not know what the proposed fee would be, who would have to pay it, or how it would apply.

For now, this is still only a proposed rule under White House review, not a final rule.
